Lecocq’s latest comic opera success - now the rage in France and America.  

Given by Van Beine and Horace Lingard’s celebrated “Falka” Co. at the Lyceum Theatre for 2 weeks only commencing Monday 17th October 

The poster is from the Weir Collection of posters, playbills and photographs mainly of Edinburgh theatres in the late 19th century, and features two characters Pepita and Inigo from the comic opera Pepita.  

As well as posters, the collection contains scenes from plays and portraits of the leading actors and actresses. It also includes black-and-white photographs of characters from pantomimes. 

The Weir Collection is held in the National Library of Scotland.
